Last month I was contacted by Alexander Selipanov, the original guy who designed the Bugatti Chiron, so we chatted and so on in terms of future car projects and stuff and after that I have been hooked on this Bugatti topic for some odd and weird way.

So tonight I decided to step in to the real of IES lighting to the max.
This scene was created by Andre Matos, a guy we have in the Automotive CGI group on facebook where all the VRAY and etc specialists are gathered such as Onur Dursun and so on.

This is the scene Andre cooked up a few months back so I decided to ask it personally from him and put the Chiron inside to mimic the windtunnel test, altho withot the fan spinning and the fume running, just a standstill demo scene.

1st shot - Final render.
2nd shot - Global illumination + geometry.
3rd shot - Lighting with artificial light sources.

Looks fantastic, I really am a fan of greyscale whiteish lowe color renders like this. One thing that I can't figure out visually though, is since this is a very practical scene,  a realistic scene, where is the main light source coming from? Not that there is anything wrong with it, my brain is just trying to read the shadows and light direction and trying to figure out where the lights are. Very cool image!
