Hi,

I'm having an issue where KeyShot is repeatedly failing to find numerous label maps.  Sometimes, simply activating another model set causes them to re-appear for some minutes.  But even when the scene looks to be ok, saving it out as a KeyShot Package for use in KeyShot Viewer brings up an error saying 'Could not find the following file:'; followed by a list of the missing maps.  The maps location on our network has not changed and was previously working for several days without issue.

I am running KeyShot 8.0.247 on a Windows 7 machine.

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Hello Dan,

To get a better understanding of the issue may i ask for some additional information?
The issue you describe could be caused by an unstable network connection.

How Large are the image files.
Have you observed this happening with Locally stored label files?
How are the Computer and network drive connected (wireless/Wired)
Did you have any recent changes to the Network setup.
Can you render when using Background rendering mode?

Thanks

Hi Niko,

Thanks for your help.

The files are between 100kB and 500kB png files.

The computer is wired to our network.

The problem is still present with local rendering.  The problem also persists if I copy all maps to my desktop and re-map to there.

I have noticed that if re-map each label, the scene renders correctly once, then the next time, the labels are missing gain.

That is valuable information.

I will have to dig further into this to find the exact cause.
Can you reproduce this on a Fresh file?

You can try to:

  • Put the Bip file and the labels into the same folder
  • If the issue persists after doing this remap the labels
  • Save as a package
  • Open The package

Please let us know if the issue persists after doing this.
