Working on an image for a client.  This is before we add their equipment.  Used displacement to create the etch of the logo and to give a few other parts depth.  Love trying to match the textures and properties of metal finishes.

Love it. Great details! How did you make the metal mesh for the microphone?

Metal mesh was geometry in the model.  We then used a slight texture map to displace it to give it enhanced shadows resulting in a bit more depth and realism.

Nice! Good to have the option for displacement here. Displacement + opacity, or were there actually modeled wire mesh?

Hi, Will.  The mesh and foam were modeled.  I displaced both to create depth.  The foam (between mesh) was screened back using opacity to allow you to see into the mic.
