Reflections on glass in a transparent render

Hi everyone...

I'm wondering if anyone has come across this issue before and how it was solved.

I'm rendering an aeroplane as a transparent file (psd or png, same issue applies).  The reflections on the cockpit canopy are perfect where there is something behind it, but where there is nothing (the transparent background), those reflections are very weak in the final render.  They look good in Keyshot's render preview window though.  I've attached cropped screen grabs of the final output and the Keyshot render preview.

Material settings:
Glass Basic White
Refractive index 2.3

Render settings are as follows:
Samples: 16
Ray bounces: 14
Global illumination: 1.5
Global illumination cache: on

Lighting environment:  Product mode

I think the issue is because you're using Basic Glass (which does support transparency). The tricky thing here is that the reflections are being affected by the color behind your model in KeyShot. I'm not sure that I have a solution for you as I always bring my images into KeyShot as a backplate rather than trying to composite them in Photoshop with transparent materials such as glass.

Hi Rob, I would like to offer some assistance as I am consistently facing plastic lens appearance issues with transportation lighting design. If you could please describe what you are looking for, what you consider "good" and "bad" in the appearance it would be helpful.
