Hi everyone,
I make many proposals for street furniture, the materials used for these furnishings are galvanized pipes and iron sheet and then painted with RAL colors.
KEYSHOT is perfect because it already has all the RAL colors libraries.

But very often the colors that you see are not the real ones.
I always use the PAINT material with TEXTURE or SHINY.
Sometimes it happens that the color I get is not the REAL one.

As you can see in the attached image, in the upper part there is a color made by me, painted with very realistic yellow, below with the material already made by Keyshot PAINT.

My question is
Do I have to trust these material libraries or do I always have to do one?

Help me,
Thank you

Öner

maybe its all about the refraction index value, try to reduce it to 1,2- 1,3 from 1,5.  sometimes i've got the good results on this way.

Hi,

You have two different materials. Paint and plastic. Basically, one has a specular channel (plastic) and thus appears brighter than the plastic one that does not. I personally recommend you stick with the plastic material instead of using paint. And of course, avoid mixing and matching these two as they're going to not match in appearance even though they use the same color swatch.
