How to make weaving Silk/Nylon multi color coat for a cable?

Hi there,

I have a project which i need to render a USBs cables. These cables has a weaving Nylon multi color coat as you can see in the attached pictures. The weaving is varies in color and style from product to another so i must be able to control it! For example there are cables with ZEBRA style and others without.

i tried with the cloth material but it doesn't give me the Zebra style.

My question is, how can I make this material without using a solid textures because i need to have control of the zebra color?
