Opacity issues inside Volume Scatter

Hello everyone,

All my materials using an opacity map becomes solid inside a Volume Fog (Scattering Medium)?

If I shine a spot light at my card the opacity turns back on in the light pool area. Are lights "cutting" out volumes?

Anyone knows where I can modify the tracing settings to resolve this?
