Does anybody know if is possible to change materials of an object during an animation?

You can do it by driving an opacity mask of a label. It will work very well with the Generic Material - check it out.

Thanks a lot for your reply, but could you be so kind to show me how you do the material graph?

Thanks in advance

I've uploaded a KSP package.

Regarding the generic material:
It makes sence if you have different materials on one model and you like to keep the node setup simple. But maybe I was overthinking your request, so forget it please if it doesn't apply to your issue.

Forgot to mention. I've used a mp4 file to drive the opacity. (Attached)
