CAO

Hello,

I'm having some issues with the Keyshot engagement rings rendering. A very picky customer asks me to remove the reflection (horizontal line) on the bottom of the solitaire.

Do you know if it is possible to remove le reflection of an object on Keyshot ?

I've been looking for a moment and tried many different things on environment, light, material etc... Without any success.

Knowing that I have a lot of renderings to do (6 collections of 20 different models declined in 4 gold and 8 colors of stones) I would love to avoid go thru photoshop to make all the modifications...

Hope you'll be able to answer me...

Best regards,

hello CAO,
I do not have a very good solution here, but if you have access to any CAD software, I would cut the ring in half and add a second modelset, where I would only render the backpart of the ring without any front reflection.
than I would create an own Clown mask with a nice anti aliasing (can be adjusted in custom controls or take a look at Esbens answer here:
https://forum.keyshot.com/index.php?topic=23915.0>

Than I would combine the shots in Photoshop, taking the Clown pass as a mask, maybe even with an automated process...

sorry, that is all I can come up with ...
hope that helps

cheers
