An option to have a node applied to the channel of selected sub materials in a multi material

For example, if you have several sub materials, you could set a cluster (like a texture and a colour to number box that go into clearcoat bump) to be applied to only the metallic sub materials, by checking them from a list, instead of dragging the link from one side of the map to the other.
You might choose to leave some sub materials out as they need different textures, so they won't be checked from that list

This would help in product renderings with a dozen different colours of the same material for each part, as it frees up the nodes window and makes it faster to add materials.

It would be awesome if this still allowed anyway to add a texture on top of the existing one, a bit like a bump add
