Is there a way to add a realistic CNC milled surface to an object?

Have you tried applying a bumpmap?

High Gain

No... I wouldn't know where to start.

Any suggestions?

Simply apply a material. Double click on it, select bump map, and then simply select a jpeg image. The controls allow to you to size it and contorl the bump height.

If you change the material type, the bump map stays.

Very simple, very effective.

Hope this helps.

Is there already a jpg. image available with the cnc type of swirl?

The first pic is Keyshot, second pic is the real McCoy.

I would try swirled aluminum ... As for the logo, I think a bumpmap would look more realistic (the indentations seem a bit deep) ... also, don't round your corners so much. This usually happens post milling during the polishing process.
