The effect I am trying to get is a subsurface scattered material where the colour is controlled by incidence angle to the camera. See attached picture for a shader I made in Lightwave, which while not really looking overly SSS, it does show the colour effect I am looking for. I ideally want it to be reflective, but to look soft and semi light absorbent.

Can I get this effect in Keyshot, as I am stumped.

Cheers!

KeyShot

The translucent material "blends" between the color that passes through the material and the scattered color at the location of the incident light. You can change the intensity of the incident light by changing the index of refraction. Increasing the index of refraction of the translucent material will darken the edges as the picture you showed. If you are looking for more extreme color variation then you can try to overlay a material with the thinfilm material over a translucent material.
