Glitches in imported FBX animation

Mostly I render stills, but recently I've been challenged with animating our products.  The workflow typically goes something like this -
1. Import CAD into 3ds max, model missing parts and sort everything into layers.
2. Export an .obj, .bip, or .fbx and bring it into Keyshot.
3. Texture, light, and render in Keyshot.

For stills this has worked great, but I'm having a lot of trouble with animation.  Because of the nature of our products they need to be animated in 3ds max, but every .fbx I export has glitches.  It's like a light is being turned off every couple frames, or the smoothing is messed up, or it appears to have doubled up geometry.

I've read about this problem but I can't find any of the sites or forum posts I looked at months ago.  Does anyone know the correct way to export a .fbx for animation in Keyshot?

Can you share an example so we can take a look? Also, what version of KeyShot are you using?

Thank you for replying so quickly.

I'm running Keyshot 4 Pro on a PC.  The files included are the original 3ds max scene, the fbx export, and a keyshot scene showing the glitch after importing.
