hello there,

can you help me telling me why keyshot  is running so slow !!??!

"render in minutes"  .... not for me, I would say hours !

MacBook Pro
  model :   MacBookPro8,2
  proc :   Intel Core i7
  speed :   2,2 GHz
number of cpus :   1 quadcore
  Memory :   8 Go 1333 MHz  DDR3

image resolution 1600x900
Render quality : normal
indirect illumination ON
Samples 36
Ray bounces 8
Anti aliasing 4
shadow quality 5
global illumination quality 3
pixel filter size 1.5
DOF quality 2
Sharp shadows ON

This is renderings for interior lighting, with light material.

I can decrease the quality if needed ....

any idea ?

The rendering it taking longer due to the high settings.

Do you need anti-aliasing at 4?
Do you need a shadow quality of 5?
Do you need GI quality at 3?

All this adds to render times. Have you tried default settings?

vstom

actually I can't remember the default settings ...

I need to have realistic renders, I use transparency for the glass of the light, the indirecte illumination.

Can you tell me what settings would you set ?

thanks in advance

This doesn't mean that you need to crank up your render settings like that.

I can't make recommendations since I don't know what the scene is. Can you share the scene so we can take a look at what you are trying to render?

vstom

ho, it changed my life !!

you were so damn right about the settings!!!
I don't know why I set them up so high, it so much faster now !!

Thank you so much for your advice :)
