Wrong Extension

I've noticed when I am rendering .tif files it always wants to change the file extension to a .jpg (even though it is set to .tif in the pulldown menu.
No big deal as KS-1 used to do this a lot to me; I just change the extension to .tif now in KS-2 though after it finishes rendering it sets the next render up with the .jpg extension so if I don't remember to catch it it's a hassle.
