Hi there,

I've tested KeyShot as good as possible and like the way, that I can
produce lights, simply by importing an object and take an emissive surface.
But these objects throw a shadow into my scene.
Is there any way that an object does not throw a shadow?

Thanks

Mark

I agree.  When set to "Invisible to eye" the object still casts an unwanted shadow.

i agree too! I'v had the problem of 'invisible' objects casting shadows.

I haven't tried this yet, but am i correct in thinking i could surround my model with emissive materials and apply/map images onto them therefor reflecting those images onto my model? e.g. import a rectangular shaped surface into my scene; apply a jpeg of a window to that surface; set that surface to be emissive and invisible and 'hay presto'..... you have a convincing indoor scene!? If the ability to hide the shadows was there we could have a cheap and cheerful alternative to using something like 'HDRlightstudio' to achieve the desired result
