These look SO great!
I love the 'technical illustration' look.

btw, I'm dying to know what your process is for:
*Integrating the product into interior backplates (e.g. matching lighting, casting shadows on floor & wall et cetera)
*making the pellets. They almost look modelled, but I guess they aren't. :D

Great work!

I guess you work for RIKA? ???

Hi,

thank you.
yes, I work for RIKA.

I startet few months ago with the idea to render our new prototypes with KS.
The idea was, to promote the prototypes before they are built.

we shot the interior first and integrated the renderings (KS3) after the shooting in PS.
pellets, lightning, shadows, reflection, etc. are handmade in PS as well.

I did the renderings for all our new stoves. we presented the prototypes last week in frankfurt (ISH 2013).
our sales people hat the stoves as 360

Yes, I saw it there.
It was really well presented. ;)
However it was kind of hot in that stoved exhibition hall so I skimmed through. ;D

btw, is your nickname techdoku possibly hinting at your profession, being technische Dokumentation? :)

ups, sorry - missing text...

our sales people had the 360 VR`s on the ipads as well.
so you maybe also so the video running on the flat screen and beamer!?

a lot of hard work but the final results speak for them own.

techdoku means technische dokumentation (which is my profession originally why I am at RIKA). but now I also work with our marketing people and work with KS, Adobe Suite, etc... ;-)
it is a lot of fun and I work a lot every day.

what are you doing?

Mainly mechanical design for Henrad/Stelrad, using KeyShot in my workflow to present ideas.
Also a lot of (experimentation in) KS to see how it can benefit our business and to support marketing too. ;)
From time to time I do some documentation too (instruction leaflets, technical product briefs for customers...).

ah, I saw some of your radiator renderings... well done!
I also tried to do something like you did with the arrows (to simulate the airflow), but it looked too unreal (next to the fire and pellets)
on my rendering so I did the airflow by hand in PS.

Beautiful! Thanks so much!

Really great integration on the photos. Interesting approach to do the shadows in photoshop.

I love your cross sectional shots. Informative and sexy :)
