Just looking for an "official" answer on this - I have my guesses/suspicions but I don't want to mess with my file too much as I have like 400 animations programmed into the timeline.

Is the timeline always active regardless of scene set? i.e. if you change to a different scene set, does the timeline remain intact and functional as is?

If you change scene sets, and the new set is missing parts that are included in the first scene set, how does the timeline react to that - where animations are acting on geometry that are not there in the current set?

Or, does it operate like the model tree and you can make changes to the timeline that remain as part of that scene set?

Animations are independent of the scene set.

If create an animation in the default scene set, and then create another scenes, you can delete the animation in the scene set, yet the animation in the default scene set will be preserved.

Also, you can create new or change existing animations in a particular scene set with affecting any other scene sets.

Part animations are unique to Scene Sets.

Camera animations are unique to Cameras and by extension Viewsets.
