Crazy! I've gotta know. Are all of those separate dvd cases with individual maps applied to each? Just based on how the corners come together, I'm guessing each section is a large box with a map of dvd covers applied to the top and dvd edges applied to the sides.

Nicely done Abed. It reminds me of a local DVD rental store where they made the counter out of hundreds of DVD sleeves and laminated over them.

Hi guys and thanks for the comments!

Maybe a clay render will explain more on what I did. In total, I used around 160 decals. All the vertical standing DVDs were surface mapped with a normal bump between them, and yes the top ones are complete geometry DVDs as you can see it in the clay render. It sounds a bit crazy specially when I was trying to change the settings of the material in one of them.  :)
