Hi,

I've used keyshot for several simple models and its crashed a few times, but its been usable.

I'm trying to use it on a more complicated model and its become practically unusable. I can orbit around the model, zoom in/out etc, but trying to edit or apply materials is almost impossible. As soon as I try to edit a materiel or move a slider Keyshot freezes, then I get the 'Keyshot has stopped working' pop up.

Windows event viewer is full of reports like the following

I've tried reinstalling Keyshot, but that hasn't helped - Is there a way to re-install the QT components? I don't know what else to try - any advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks

How much RAM do you have on the machine? It looks like you are running out of memory.

This afternoon I installed a fresh copy of windows on another drive and set up a dual boot - installed KS to that and it works flawlessly. Spent an hour throwing the most complicated models I have at it, and it didn't even hiccup.

Thats a work around - but having to reboot every time I want to do some texturing isn't ideal (but hey, better than nothing!)

Ideally, I'd like to find everything KS relies on or uses, rip it out and reinstall clean. See if that helps.

I can see a clean install of my main OS on the horizon, but I'd really, really like to avoid that if possible.

Thanks :)

An update for anyone else who may have a similar problem.

I installed the Solidworks plugin and that appears to have fixed the issue. Been using KS for an hour and its much more responsive and not crashed once.
