Hi everyone.
My name is Leonardo and this is my firs post.

I have a big problem and i have no idea how to solve.

How to make black parts in car glasses like picture below... in the borders

I have no idea how to do it.

tks so much

TpwUK

It really needs to be modelled into the glass, but, it can be done with a custom texture and uv mapping

Speedster

Depending on your modeling app, you can use a "split line" (as it's called in SolidWorks) to define the shape, then UV map the resulting surface so KeyShot can recognize it.  For glass, it's best to put it on the inside.

My software is 3d Max.

Generaly i create obj file to export to Keyshot...

Really? I need to modelate it!?  oh man... hard work to do

It would look best modeled but you could get away with a texture (or label) as TpwUK suggested and I doubt anyone would notice. If you go the texture/label method, the trick would be to make it look like it's under the glass. To do this, just duplicate the glass and offset the surfaces a little and have the texture applied to only the inside surface.

I just added this to the opacity of glass material. Looks pretty good. You can always touch up in PS.
