Andrea Chiampo

Hi,
here STORP, my last quick artwork, done for my own CGHUB GALLERY.

( if you want take a look here, HQ and other images ---> http://cghub.com/images/view/886180/ )

The first one here on the forum is a Zbrush render,
the others are from Keyshot whit a PostProd in Photoshop.

Hope you like it

Nice work again Andrea, I cant help but feel that the skin is too glossy smooth, would look better to me if the skin had a more noticeable cellular structure and less glossy.

Thank you Martin,  :)
You're perfectly right, maybe with some specular texture it will be better?

A little less on the specular, more bump, unless of course he/she is an amphibious creature, then smooth n slimey is great. If it's land based then glossy with grip (like a snake) or dry and scaly like humans and pigs etc. I know there are no laws or rules regarding this with Sci-Fi, but it just helps the everyday eye accept what it's looking at easier

well 'categorised' Martin. I think the new material share site in KS5 will benefit from a few good skin shaders categorised like this... smooth/slimey "amphibious"; dry but glossy "reptilian"; dry textured "humanoid"; weird and wonderful "alien".   or something!?
