Model Vanishes

I'm in the middle of a big animation job for a client and my files appear to have corrupted 

I go to load a file I've been working on and the models in the file have vanished. As a last resort to recover the files, I try and re-create the live link from Rhino and all the material data and model animation data has gone.

I have several iterations of the same animation, but each file I load has the same problem. The only thing I can put this down to is working on another Rhino file while the animation was rendering. I'm guessing this corrupted the live link?

Is there any chance of rescuing any of my files??
