I was given a .stp file of a simple rubber cylinder. Couldn't be more basic. It's "laying down" when I import it. I am very, very new to Keyshot, and cad in general. I want to have one lying down, and another one or two standing up on it's end. I can't seem to figure out if that's possible directly in Keyshot. Does the original stp file have to have the ground/floor assigned before import?

Please excuse my ignorance. I'm learning slowly.

Open the advanced section on the importer and set UP to be Z, if it already is, then swap it for Y

Open the Project > Scene tab. Right click on your model and select duplicate. Now right click on the duplicate and select Move to use the widget. You can also select the model in the scene tree, go to the position tab, and type in numerical values.
