When creating renderings does a tiff image appear better then jpeg?

Rex

Essentially jpeg and tiff have the same image quality, the only difference is compression and file size. However, Tiff32 will have more bits/channel and therefore has more light data which makes a difference when adjusting exposure in post processing.
