The background seem a bit blown out though. Try to make it less bright if you can

Yeah, I see that the plane gets pretty dark. Maybe you can add a soft pin light to your hdri to put some light on the plane...

Uh, and also get the propeller spinning with some nice motion blur

How 'bout these tips:

1- added some vignetting
2- removed the blue on the white stripes over the main fuselage
3- added dust swirls

Looks better without that blue. Vignetting is a tad heavy--was great to see the detail/shape of the entire plane. Vignette takes that away just a little.
