Hi guys,

I've been using Keyshot since the 3.1 version and it would be my first time
to post one of my works.

This render is made with Keyshot 5.

Please feel free to comment any suggestions you have.

Hey Gery! Welcome to the KeyShot forum! LOVE the mood set here. Makes me want to see the rest of the stairs. Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Rex

Looks great! Can you provide a little explanation of your light setup?

Thanks!

Hi Rex!

I modelled this staircase through Rhinoceros 5, I just modelled the part I needed to be rendered.
I seperate them using different layers, depending on what material I wanted to use for each on of them.

Imported into the Keyshot 5, I've added the black walnut material into the stairs and added my own wood
texture and added a little of opacity in it to show the wood details a bit more.

I used the emissive warm light on the stairs with an intensity of 200 because I want to show the wood
details pop out of it.

I've added the basic alumium on the anti-slip profile. I added the asphalt texture on the wall scaled into 0.002 to show
the wall more realistic using the basic paint material, added 0.15 of bump to pop out but not too much and I messed
around with the ambient to get the right light for it.

To finish off, a little bit of Photoshop.

I hope this helps Rex!  :D :D :D

Thank you for the explanation! The emissive material is working great!

I hoped it helped. Enjoy!
