Hi all,

I have 2 cubes that I want to animate.

I have applied a light to the cubes, so they currently glow.

But what I want to do is animate the cubes (not glowing at this stage) about an inch apart, then for them to slide towards eachother and then, when they touch, I want them to glow.

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks,

Om

I think you can set up your camera angle and save it then set up your transition movement of the cubes and render them moving toward each other with no glow.  When they touch end the animation.

Then repeat the same thing with glowing cubes.

Use your video editing software to cut the glowing cubes video to right as they touch and then drop that video after the first video.  You can overlap the videos a little to get the glow to fade in.   You can also do some fade ins with ks but not with transitioning materials.

I second ilovedividends suggestion. Keyshot it's an animation tool quite yet, although it makes basic animations possible. I'd rely on a video editing software to splice the two.
