Title: Wavy Edge Section
Post by: HaroldL on June 25, 2019, 08:25:41 PM
I wanted a cutaway section of a model but instead of straight edges I want it to have wavy edges to simulate a break out section you see on an engineering drawing. So I applied a Noise texture map the Displace node of a Rounded Rectangle then changed the material type to Cutaway. It does give some interesting results.

Hello Harold,

Thank you for posting. It looks pretty good. Do you need assistance with anything?

When I started on this little project KeyShot crashed on me and I sent in the crash report that popped up. After a restart everything worked out okay. So no assistance is needed with this mode. I just wanted to share the technique.
