Title: How to move lighting with respect to the part being rendered?

Hi All,

It's my first time with Keyshot - I'm just learning.  Early days  :)
I'm following a tutorial, and can't get my lighting to match.  It doesn't have to match exactly, but I do want to move these shadow lines to look similar.

In the image attached, how would I move the shadow line straight back, on the top shiny plastic section?
Tried rotating the environment, of course that only rotates those lines and does not move them straight back.
Tried all the environment controls, nothing did it.  Tried other environments too, but then it's a different look altogether.

Any ideas are appreciated!

Hi cbecks.

Did you try adjusting the height of the environment?

Actually I think you should solve this with your camera settings.
It looks like your focal length is rather high (111.8, see upper left corner of the screenshot). I doubt it is that high in the tutorial. Try matching the tutorial setting, or go with something like 40-50 if you can't see what they use.

Also, increasing the camera inclination should help move the reflection backwards.

Hi Esben,

Sorry, been away a long time.  I do appreciate your advice.
Thanks for focal length tip.  Useful to know, though it did not shift reflection into position.  Inclination did move the shadow back, but also rotated the object forward, so couldn't use that.

Tried adjusting height, size and rotation of environment, but none gave the correct result.

I haven't done it before, but I guess this might require being able to edit the HDRI.
