Title: 1964 Impala
Post by: feher on July 02, 2016, 06:07:58 PM
1964 Impala
Came home last night around 10pm and just had to create something. So I went with this classic 1964 Impala. Model is from turbosquid.
I decided to do a white background and have the car speak for itself.
Created dome using Keyshots HDR editor.
I added the RAW render so you can see how far I try to take my lighting and material creation. As you can see I did very little post to enhance the image. I always try to make Keyshot do all the work for me and not rely on photoshop as much. I used to work the other way around.
Enjoy,
Tim

Beautiful, beautiful Tim :) I work the same way, I would say 98% of the renders I do are almost raw KeyShot, only slight curves adjustments and sometimes a levels boost. I've even started adding dust and lens debris in KS and not post :)

Thank you !
People have been asking me a lot lately about volumetric inside Keyshot so I have been playing with that too. Here is an example I always send showing the possibility. I over exaggerated to show it more clearly. I also have started adding light leaks inside Keyshot.  Down side when doing this stuff in KeyShot I have to create my own clown pass. I do still find just doing this type of stuff in post easier. But, I have fun trying to do it in KeyShot.
