Hi there,
I'm looking to light up a part contour for a brief time during an animation. This can be seen in the following video at around 1:15 onwards (they light up several parts):

Does anyone know how to achieve this in keyshot?
Thanks for your help!

You could certainly create a render of that part with an outline in Keyshot, but to make it animate the way it is in the video (the line moving around the part), that looks like the line was added in After Effects.
Tutorial (not mine) that shows how to create this effect... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BcbtVKt69U&t=84s
I don't think this effect is doable entirely without using after effects (or any other composition software).
I would probably render out the actual animation with the correct materials and then do another output with the toon material applied.
In AE I would overlay the toon output on the 'real'-material output, and animate a mask to create that sweeping reveal/hide effect of the line.
Hope it helps you.
Thanks for the replies! Good idea to overlay a lit up version. Using a mask frame by frame revealing more and more of the outline could probably do the job.
