Title: How to create a encapsulated o-ring
Post by: shannonsomford on March 10, 2017, 03:33:21 AM
Hi,

I am fairly new to the designing in keyshot and I am struggling in the designing of specific materials.
I need to design an o-ring which is encapsulated with a PTFE transparent layer. As attached in the pictures.
Can you guys explain/ show me how to make something like this?

I would model the two parts with a tiny overlap (or gap) between them and then in KeyShot add a transparent plastic material to the outer part and a black plastic material to the inner part :)

Ah yeah that is a good idea! I will try that. Thanks!
