Title: Change 'grain' direction on single face
Post by: guest1395 on January 11, 2018, 06:41:18 AM
Is there a way to change material direction / angle on single face?

Material is custom woodgrain created by scanning real world piece.

if the top is all one piece, you can use the geometry editor to separate that face, unlink the material and rotate just that one material. It will treat it as if its a totally separate object, which it will be after you seperate it :)

If it is already a separate surface, just unlink the material and rotate. As long as all the objects are using the same material, any changes to that material will ripple across all instances of that material.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, I was trying to use geometry editor but that gave warning that it cuts links to being able to update model..

I found a way to do it though it is single part. For others with similar case, see image below.
