Title: Changing Diameter
Post by: Serge Ortmann on March 11, 2018, 12:03:13 PM
Hello everyone,
can anybody tell me if its possible to change the diameter of a rotating object (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymMjxkCi1YE (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymMjxkCi1YE)) while it's being animated?
The more duct tape is used, the smaller the diameter gets.

Thanks in advance!

Hello.
You can't animate a translation within KeyShot.
So IMHO you've got two ways to solve this.
- create the animation with a tool that provides deformation animation and send it via alembic cache (.abc) to KeyShot
- build the duct tape roll in rings, that you can hide them layer by layer

Hope that helps
Cheers
Marco
