We are happy to share that soon KeyShot 8 will be released. Everyone at Luxion is extremely grateful for your feedback, input, and reports over the past few months. Many of you have submitted incredible images, taking KeyShot into areas we could only imagine.
To close out the KeyShot 8 Beta phase and prepare for the release, we are holding a competition to showcase your work and the features coming to KeyShot 8. The contest will end Monday, October 1st, with prizes for the top entries.
KeyShot 8 - Less Work, More Flow.KeyShot 8 is focused on delivering a tighter workflow inside KeyShot with an emphasis on flow and less on work while providing the advanced features and flexibility to speed up your workflow, elevate your visuals, enhance your experience, and extend your reach. With this in mind, we are looking for the highest-quality visuals using the new features in KeyShot 8:
- Best use of Image Styles
- Best use of Cutaway
- Best use of Scattering
- Best use of Geometry Shaders
- Best use of Configurator/Material Ways
Entry Requirements:
- Submit your entry on the 'KeyShot Beta Render Competition' forum board
- Create a rendering or animation using new KeyShot 8 features
- Screenshots, fully rendered images, animations or KeyShotXR's may be submitted
- Ideal size is 16:9 format, e.g. 1920x1080
- Multiple entries are acceptable
- The competition is open to beta testers only
- Team entries are welcome - prize will be transferred to team leader
Judging Criteria:The submissions will be judged on four criteria:
- Use of new KeyShot 8 features
- Quality
- Creativity
- Composition
Prizes:
- All: A chance to have your image included on a KeyShot 8 splash screen
- Grand Prize: KeyShot Pro + choice of Apple Watch or iPad Mini (Total value $2394)
- First Prize (each category): KeyShot Pro (total value $1995)
- Honorable mentions (U.S. Only): KeyShot Goodie Pack: T-shirts, Pen, Mousepad

Additional Notes:With your submission, it's nice to know what work went into your rendering or animation! Tell us what modeling software or other tools are used. If post editing is done, show a before and after. It's always interesting to see!
Luxion retains the right to use any image or animation submitted for purposes of promotion and marketing. All rights to the image belong to the person creating the image and attribution will be given when an image is used. Additional requests for use of render or animation files may be requested of the user via email.
