Title: Texturing 'Flow' Issue
Post by: hans5 on December 29, 2018, 03:08:02 AM
Hi

I have modelled a weld in Autodesk Inventor which i am looking to render but having serious issues with the direction of the textures in keyshot

It seems as though I need to alter the direction of the polygons or switch to nurbs data to get the weld to run around the part?

You can see from my screenshots that in inventor the weld direction looks fine, in keyshot the wireframe view and preview shows each part of the weld texture running in the wrong direction on each section of the weld?

Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve this? I'm 4 hours into trying to find a resolution and am losing the will to live

You have to model with UV coordinates that maybe the Inventor does not support.
(I am a Creo user).

Perhaps this could help:

Otherwise the geometry (linear surfaces and corner revolves) need to be splitter and tweaked with different texture mapping types.
