Title: Slave prioritization in NR
Post by: Gordon on January 16, 2019, 01:25:51 PM
I have 3 slave machines that are not identical CPU speeds, one machine is significantly faster than the others, but NR does not currently have any mechanism to prioritize slaves so my super fast Threadripper 2 machine is sitting idle while the two slower machines try and process the queue.  I had to manually dial down the cores on one of the slower machines to get the faster machine to start grabbing jobs.  I'd love to see some method of prioritizing slaves based on performance.

Yeah, I was just searching the forum for some info surrounding this.
We have a few machines sitting idle. Buuuuut, they suck. I mean, they'll get a few bits rendered, but I'd like to only use those when the faster ones aren't available.
It's not like the NR doesn't know which machines are working the best.
