Title: Gradient doesn't work on bigger objects
Post by: Maeve Smith on May 11, 2019, 04:19:03 PM
Hi all!

When I have a small object, say a cylinder generated by the keyshot itself, the Glass Gradient feature seems to work just fine.

However, on a 1-meter high cube,  it shows either of the two colours I selected.

I tried everything, changed the scale, the angle, the shift, nothing seems to work.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried resetting the mapping? Or go into the texture mapping widget and tried manually moving around the texture?

That's where I'd start at least! Good luck

I imported a 1 m cube, applied a glass material and used a color gradient in the color channel. I was able to see both colors. Is that what you're trying to do or am I misunderstanding? I did modify the gradient and use the move texture tool to position it the way I wanted, which in this case was a vertical, top to bottom gradient.
