Title: [RESOLVED] Caustics dark region
Post by: daekkyn on August 16, 2019, 02:39:04 AM
I noticed that there is a problem when rendering simple caustics, when light traverses a relatively flat window, one of the corner is darker than the rest, for no physical reason. I made a simple scene to show the problem (I know that in this case it would be better to disable refraction as the surface is thin and flat, but I'm interested in volumes that are not completely flat).

No problem. I just noticed another bug:
Changing the material type (without creating a new material) from Glass (Solid) to Glass and back to Glass (Solid) results in a darker caustic.
