Title: 9.0 to 9.1.98 Discrepancy in droplets (non-caustics)
Post by: DMerz III on February 11, 2020, 01:59:17 PM
:-\ Just experienced a big problem when we switched over from 9.0 to 9.1 today. Unfortunately we didn't catch this sooner.

Seeing a massive difference between these drops output from 9.0 and 9.1.98 - you can see the difference in the realtime as well - but not as extreme as the outputed images.

Everything is the same - only difference is 9.1.98 instead of 9.0
Windows 10 - CPU rendering

** We see the drops not turn black when caustics are on..but we've been able to get by without caustics until now, and we'd like to keep it that way - caustics taking so much longer to render for not much gain in our specific case**

Thanks

Are you using product mode? What is the number of bounces? Do you see the same in GPU mode?

Hi David,

Thanks for reporting this issue. It was indeed a regression from KeyShot 9.0 and it has been fixed and will be available in KeyShot 9.2 (and the beta of 9.2 which we will release shortly).
