Title: Text in Animation
Post by: degruch on November 10, 2012, 02:59:23 PM
Hi all,

I've had a lot of clients inquire about my animation capabilities (rather, the software, not my skills) but all have wanted text added, whether it be a title, company logo, annotations, etc. Is there any way to add text or graphics to the animated scene itself (i.e. not the product)? I'd be surprised (and happy) if there was, but assuming there isn't, is there another software I can import my KeyShot rendered animation into, then add text?

Loving the animation capability, but unfortunately my Dell Precision is pretty slow (despite the fact it is a bit of a monster) at high quality 16 frame/sec render speed. As it takes a couple of days to get a 20 second render (last attempt scuttled by a Windows update), not really a tool I can use at the moment, despite all the interest from my clients.  :(

Cheers,
Duane

After Effects from Adobe will do all of the text duties (and a lot more!!).

You could also add the text as data and animated it in KS

Thankyou! I'll look into the Adobe package.  ;D

If I need to bash out something quick I've been know to use Microsoft movie maker just to add a quick annotation for a client. Free and works!

The Adobe package obviously has a lot more features though.
