Title: Bottom of HDR's turning black?
Post by: Speedster on August 13, 2010, 04:02:59 PM
Many times, after I drag in a new HDR (KeyShot2) if I rotate it the bottom half turns black.  Goes away if I drag in another one, then go back and drag in the one I want.  Happens frequently.  Any clues?

I have never seen that? Where is your camera relative to the scene? Does it happen with a blank scene at startup as well?

I have seen this - the HDRI is not an HDRI then but a jpeg. Make sure you are not using jpegs.

Thanks, Thomas- Yep- that's exactly what happened.  I have previews of most HDR's, and by "misteak" I loaded in the jpeg.

Perfect! Yes - I think we should only load .hdr, .exr, and .hdz files to avoid confusion.
