Title: AfterEffects Compositing - Tracking Elements
Post by: FaragoDesign on May 23, 2014, 05:35:08 PM
Hi
Attempting to track screen position of tablet (see attached) for replacement in AfterEffects

> Creating compositing data and elements (solids and masks) in C4D
> Exporting FBX animation with baked keyframes and cameras
> Import to FBX to Keyshot for beauty render.

AfterEffects results are close but not a perfect match.

Anyone else have success?

Kinda hoping we can get compositing tracking data from Keyshot 5

Apologies for not posting - turned out to be a dead end for us. Never got it to match perfectly. Keyshot animation approach is great for CAD but not particularly well suited for animation workflow - We got much better results using Element 3D directly in AfterEffects - faster, simpler.
