I was following this quick tip in Keyshot and attempting to reproduce a similar scene.
However, once I had applied a colour map over the bump map I could not dial down the intensity.
This step is shown at around 6mins into the video but I can't find the corresponding 'intensity' setting in KS5.
Should it be there?
You need to reduce the brightness.
