There is no sub-object or surface selection in KeyShot is there? For example, I have a cast part with machined surfaces and want to use two different materials on the same part. Do these surfaces need to be differentiated in my CAD program or can I somehow do that in KeyShot?

Thanks.

Just apply different colors (on the part level) to the faces that you want to have separate materials/textures.
KeyShot will interpret the differently colored faces as separate objects.

Indeed, that's the full procedure. :D

Not meant to pick any nit ...

Intention was to make sure it's 100% clear that it's not in KS you got to look for giving faces a separate color ..  :D
