Hello everyone,

I'm trying out my first rendering in Keyshot, and so far so good.
I'm rendering an iPhone 4 (model not made by me) and I think it looks great! I have just one issue:
The label I put on the display is on top of the glass, and not underneath it, so there's no reflection of the environment in the display. Playing with the 'depth' setting in the label menu doesn't solve this issue.

Here's a screenshot:

Thanks for your help,

Depth is projection depth - the ability to add specularity to the label is coming in 2.1.

Looks great by the way, even though laying the iPhone on the ground like that will scratch it ;-)

Thanks for the fast reply! I'm looking forward to 2.1! (when is it coming?)

I just finetuned it a bit.

But I guess I'll have to wait then!

Thanks again!

David

Its not an ideal method but i always render the screen section in a glossy material, e.g chrome and then lay the the screen graphics on top in photoshop with some transparency.

KeyShot 2.1 is planned for the end of September. Great image.

In the model I built I included a couple of surfaces under the glass.  One represents the screen and the other represents the background behind the screen.  This gave me the ability to control everything behind the glass and produce some great effects.

If I get a chance I will post some images.

Did you need to leave small gaps between the layered surfaces?
