Please see image_2.jpg, it has one (1) object with multiple instances...full view can be seen in image_1.jpg. I am trying to place the "red" label (which will actually be one [1] image) across the top plane of all of the instances of this object...how can I do this? The end result should be that all instances have one (1) image showing from the top-left instance to the bottom-right. Please help.

pupdogg,

To be clear, are you asking for a separate copy of the label to be instanced on each model. or a single label mapped across all models?

Hi Rex,

Single label mapped across all models please. Similar to your image titled single_label.jpg but with a slight difference, the label should not wrap around on each model. It should show across just the top face of all models or instances of a model. Thx

Here is how I did it with SolidWorks:

- Create cube in SolidWorks "Part" mode
- Assign color to top face of cube so label does not wrap
- Create linear pattern
- Send to Keyshot to appy texture/label using planar Y mapping type

Let me know if you are still having trouble.

I can't get 1 label to span across all cubes...I'm on version 5.1.57.

Really weird...I can achieve the results with a 2x2 cube matrix but not 32x32...see attached...also, when I pattern the 2x2 model, each instance maintains it's own label even though I spread it across the Y planar? how can I get the label to apply across all patterned instances?

What CAD application are you using? Did you follow the steps I described?
