ARGH, all labels vanished!

I'm doing a project that has 10 concepts, and each concept has 3-4 labels.  I hit save a million times, and let Keyshot render all night.  I came back this morning, all the renderings are done except two?  Okay.  No big deal.  So I open the file, and ALL the labels are gone, not applied at all, poof!  What the hell happened?  I am running keyshot on my machine, but the file server is another machine so I was selecting the labels from the file server.  They need to be on the server, not my local machine, because they are being updated throughout the day.  They are still there, still in the same location.  When I double click on material, it doesn't show that labels were ever applied.  This is incredibly frustrating!  Now I have to reapply 40 labels, and try to get them to look like the ones I ALREADY rendered.  Can anyone help?
