Chevy 327; 1st try at Material Graph
« on: May 15, 2015, 02:46:28 pm »
Rain, hail, thunder, lightning- great day to stay indoors and snuggle up to KeyShot 6.  My wife is jealous!

Decided to use my Chevy 327 as a test bed, on my favorite Frosted Glass ground plane. Some interesting observations...

I used the Material Graph to create the headers as a curvature.  I think!  Having a hard time getting my head around it, and sure look forward to a webinar!  But I sort of like them.  But my target was a slightly heat-blued color.  Not yet- still a WIP.

However, I see a huge difference between realtime and a balls-out render.  The second image is a baked screenshot, and the third is the render of the same.  Major shifts in both lighting and the Material Graphed headers.

The phosphate carb and linkage brackets are curvature.
